Apostle Paul in his letter to his protégé Timothy wrote, "a bishop must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behaviour, hospitable and able to teach….One who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence. [For if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the house of God?” 1 Tim. 3:2-5.
Today the Catholic priests have chosen celibacy with some who abuse young boys costing the papacy, billions of dollars in secrete compensation.
Lucky for them, they do not sweat for the money they use to pay off their victims. Popes have over the centuries been known for their activities and the current one will be remembered for apologising on behalf of the priests’ untamed libido for the unnatural sex to the victims in rich Australia and the USA.
The secrete compensation to the families of pre-teenage victims and transfer of errant men in cassocks has not erased the pain caused.
What is most annoying is that the compensation and apologies are not universal to the benefit of the poor. Ironically, victims in poor places like Rwanda with the fear of defying their parents’ religion and incurring the wrath of the ‘men of God’, succumb.
The priests are not about to stop their bad ways either.
It is a sin when two consenting adults decide to go against nature [I am being modest to the lay gay], but it is a monstrous crime for priests and or any other adult for that to force themselves on helpless teenage boys.
There is no choice for the victims when the ‘men of God’ scare/sweet talk them into vestries. Such criminal priests should not be punished through mere transfers or excommunication but charged in courts of law.
Whereas priests should be punished for their unnatural behaviours, the institution for which they work should be held accountable.
Celibacy has no place in the Bible and society, but the creation of an impotent demon possessed war-lords centuries ago in Europe.
It is natural, spiritual and Biblical for men and women to long for intimacy and children. When this is denied, what follows is the issue today.
Apostle Paul knew it and advised that "…if they cannot exercise self control, let them marry. For it is better for them to marry than burn with passion”. (1Cor.7:11.)
But when the Zambian, Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo expressed his intention to get married, he was banished to Rome.
There is no forum for constructive discussion for priests’ marriage but secretive mafia like directives from the papacy and the results are always miserable.
It would be beneficial for the papacy to conduct an opinion poll on the views held by its priests’ possible permission to get married.
Furthermore, it should be noted that the act of homosexuality is not a social vice, but an abomination in the sight of God the papal organization purport to serve.
Leviticus 20:13 states that, "If a man lies with a male as a man lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination.
They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them”. Simply put the two victims of one Rwandan catholic priest for his behaviour against the children. He should have been put to death!
Rome imposed celibacy on priests centuries ago possibly based on Plato’s "Ideal” of a philosopher king. If catholic priests give themselves to the service of God as they claim let them do otherwise.
After all Jesus instructed them thus, "if your left eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you…” (Mat.5:29) The catholic priests (some) have become so sinful to the extent that an immediate change is needed.
It should be done so that the priests of the papacy realize that, celibacy is ungodly and unbiblical. It was actually instituted by possibly a grandson of Emperor Nero for his personal amusement.
Priests of the papacy please get yourselves married so that you can save your souls. "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than God, you judge” Acts 4:19.
The papacy priests apart from keeping its crime to its consenting adult followers will do good to learn to apologize to not only the rich Australians and Americans but also poorer victims in countries like Rwanda.
As for the demonic celibacy policy Paul prophesized it, almost a millennium ago in his epistle to Timothy as thus; " Now the spirit expressly says in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of the demons….forbidding to marry……” 1 Timothy 4;1-3.
