Musanze — Members of Party Socially pour Democracy-PSD have held their first general assembly in Musanze district where they tabled their political aspirations.
This comes just days after political parties were given a nod to campaign for the parliamentary elections set for next month.
The three candidates who have been nominated on the PSD ticket for the September polls were presented before the assembly.
Outlining the principles which the party is committed to, the district party chairman, Faustin Nzabonimpa said that, the party would advocate for increased campaign against HIV/Aids prevalence rates and the fight against malaria.
On education the party committed itself to advocate for an increase in vocational schools for students who have failed to make it at university.
Commenting on the judiciary, the PSD president said that the rule of law should be applied always.
He said that the rules applied during arrests and detention should all be practiced.
Ntwari Gerald, who represented the secretariat said that on behalf of the party they appreciated the achievements the government had registered in the past years.
