Rwanda Cricket Association in collaboration with Cricket without Boundaries will organise a mini-cricket tournament which will take place on Sunday August 31 at Ndera Petit Seminary grounds.
The tournament is aimed at giving a chance to schools on RCA’s development program to compete. RCA general manager Joshua Mwanja said: "This is one way to evaluate our development program that runs all year round.”
"After this tournament we will do talent identification for boys and girls who will be put in a camp to enhance their skills so that they represent our U15 national side,” added the former Ugandan international all-rounder. Teams will play in 3 groups. The top 2 teams in each group will qualify for the final that will be played on September 26.
Ten schools will participate in this tournament. Five primary schools including; Excella School, Groupe Scholaire Ndera Primary School, Kicukiro Primary School, St Joseph Primary School and St Esprit Primary School have confirmed participation. Secondary schools include; FAWE Girls School, Excella Secondary School, Groupe Scholaire Ndera Secondary School, Kicukiro Secondary School and Ecole Secondary de Tourism & Hotelrely.
