Turbo King National Football League side Rayon Sports will offer contracts to three out of four players, who have been on trials for the last three weeks.

Togolese attacking midfielder Guelli Koffi, former Mukura VS striker Bertrand Yossa and former Rusizi-based Espoir FC forward Govin Mutombo are the three players set to sign for the Nyanza-based team, while another Togolese striker, Sekle Zico Yao has been released.

The four players were given opportunities to show what they are capable of in the just concluded Cecafa Kagame Club Championships.

After being knocked by rivals APR in the quarter-finals, Rayon Sports’ president Theogene Ntampaka and the technical staff went back to the drawing board to make an assessment of the new players as well as discussed plans for next season.

"We had a meeting with the technical staff and we decided to let Zico go because he is not on the standards desired at our club,” Ntampaka told Saturday Sport yesterday.

He added: "But we will retain Koffi, Bertrand and Mutombo. The trio will sign their contracts very soon, probably early next week.”

The blues are also in talks with Uganda Cranes striker Brian Omony who is on loan at Uganda’s KCCA from Tanzanian giants Azam FC. Omony wants Rayon to part with $50,000 (Rwf34.5m) before he can join the club.

Jean Francois Losciuto’s team, who lost midfielder Djamal Mwiseneza to APR, are struggling to build a strong team that will be able to compete well in the Caf Confederation Cup, national league and Peace Cup next season.
