The arrival of Angel Di Maria will by all means improve Manchester United offensive style after he penned a 5-year contract from Real Madrid on 59.7 Million pound sterling.

The Argentina international is a world class player known for amazing dribbling skills and pace. He brings a lot of problems to defenders and he is a natural goal scorer.

At Real Madrid, he was the most dangerous player. He has not won accolades like Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo but he is very resourceful on the pitch.

He is a multi-dimensional player and this means it is not easy to defend against him. His trickery is better than his compatriots Christiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

He is very creative and has helped his team-mates score goals so often. Christiano Ronaldo is the man who has been well-fed by the Argentina hit man.

His dribbling skills make him a better player and perhaps some soccer pundits can rank him ahead of Ronaldo or Bale. His feet are always so close to the ball and opponents make a lot of fouls in an effort to dislodge him off the ball.

Di Maria has registered a lot of great moments in football history that make him a great man. His winner during the 2008 Olympic final against Nigeria marked a sharp start to his fruitful career. He did wonders at Benifica Lisbon before his move to Real Madrid.

In Brazil 2014 he was on top of the game, his extra-time finish against Switzerland was sensational. Argentina badly missed his services during the final game against Germany and I think this was the difference of the outcome.

He is a disciplined player and very collaborative with team-mates and I am sure Louis Van Gaal will not have problems with him.

United also recently signed another Argentinean player, left back Marcos Rojo from Sporting Lisbon at 16 million pound sterling as part of his team reconstruction at united. He was very impressive at the 2014 World Cup and this is why he caught the eye of the Dutch man.

Rojo can fill the void left by Patrice Evra and will link-up very well with his country man. His arrival at old Trafford is a sign of seriousness from the management and the new technical team led by Louis Van Gaal.

Financial power has started to manifest at united and soon shall see them as serious premier league title contenders.

Last season, United finished in the worst premier league position in their football history outside UEFA CUP and the champions’ league.  They had a miserable season as they ended in the seventh position and could have dropped further.

Unfortunately, they have started their premier league campaign in a bad scenario as they have lost points in their opening two games. They lost 2-1 to Swansea city at home and drew 1-all with Sunderland.

They are looking vulnerable in all departments and coach Louis Van gaal has massive work to accomplish if he is to compete with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester city for the premier league title.

To make matters worse, Manchester United was knocked out of the league cup by league one opponents MK Dons. The loss to the minnows is also an indication that United has had a poor pre-season preparation.

United rang changes during their mid-week league cup game against the lower division club but proved too fragile without their first team stars.

United is currently graded in a poor state given their massive 4-0 loss despite the presence of some  senior players like Anderson, Danny Welbeck, David DeGea, Jonny Evans among a host of first timers on the pitch.
