How would you describe your dress sense?
Well, I really don’t know how to describe it but I guess it’s more of casual wear. I like t-shirts and jeans and when I have an official event then I wear Kitenge. I also love wrapping my hair and supplementing my look with African jewelry. Very often, I also wear flat shoes.
What’s your favourite clothing item?
Kitenge comes first. I love it. Time and again I am in t-shirts and jeans like I said.
Where do you shop for clothes?
I shop from the big market in Nyabugogo but because of my slim size, I shop for jeans in town in the Rubangura building. There is a gentleman that always has my particular size.
What do you consider when shopping clothes?
First and foremost is my size. Clothes that fit me well aren’t easily picked from anywhere. Then colour; I love blue, green and black.
What is your favourite fashion accessory?
I love bracelets and earrings. I like the kitenge earrings and I’m wearing them right now.
What is your favourite clothing item on a guy?
I love to see a guy in a nice t-shirt and jeans with moccasin shoes.
What’s your favourite scent?
I am not so much of a perfume person. I don’t have a particular scent that I really love.
What is the most expensive fashion accessory that you own in your wardrobe and what led you into buying it?
The most expensive accessory is my engagement ring. Well, definitely I didn’t buy that. Other than that, I have really pricy earrings and I bought them because they looked lovely and I couldn’t walk away without them.
Any fashion advice?
I just want to advise people to follow their taste. It doesn’t matter what everyone else says or is wearing, as long as you feel comfortable in it then go for it. It has to be decent though.
