Former Miss Rwanda Aurore joins Lemigo TV

News reaching our desk is that former Miss Rwanda, Aurore Mutesi Kayibanda, has joined Lemigo TV as a news anchor for Kinyarwanda news. According to our sources, Aurore, who signed a contract early this week, is scheduled to start work on September 1. A graduate of University of Rwanda, Aurore also speaks French and English and will have a chance to host talk shows.

People don’t appreciate female artistes – Knowless

Musician Jeanne Butera aka Knowless has lashed out at people who don’t appreciate female artistes in Rwanda. According to our snoops, Knowless is bitter that people just criticize and expect miracles to happen. This comes after rumours circulated on social media about how she is not a gifted musician but uses her looks with the help of studio machines to get by. Posting on her Facebook page, Knowless said, "Why do people always discredit me and other female musicians yet they can’t do anything?” As the post gained momentum with some people rubbishing her more, she pulled it down and discussions continued on other pages. Knowless is among the few successful musicians in Rwanda but has continuously been discredited. She continues to hold successful album launches and concerts.  

Bernard fires Active over financial indiscipline

After news broke out last week that the singing group Active and their manager and owner of Incredible Records, Bernand Bagenzi had gone separate ways, our snoops have since confirmed that the singers were fired because they had ceased to listen to him as their advisor. The Primus Guma Guma Super Star season 4 first timers have been earning Rwf 1,000,000 per month since it started but their manager got furious because they began squandering all their money and were getting broke. It is said that there manager couldn’t stand working with them and fired them.   

Jody and GNL Zamba an item

Celebrated Ugandan hip hop artiste GNL Zamba and local RnB music star Jody Phibi are said to be an item after our snoops confirmed that they have been sighted together numerous times and the closeness is questionable. Jody, who is signed under Platinum Records in Uganda, has over the years been rumoured to be dating the rapper secretly but it seems the cat is out of the bag now. Our snoops tell us that after recording the remix of Kaleke Kasome in which she features Gnl Zamba, Maurice Hasa, & Ray Signature, the two headed to Casablanca Bar (a popular night spot in Kampala) and were seen driving off together in the wee hours of the night.  

Nigerian actor Ramsey Noah to feature with Rwanda movie actors

POPULAR Nigerian movie actor Ramsey Noah is set to shoot a movie with local movie stars, according to our sources. Our sources confirm that Ramsey has been in talks with Sports and Culture Minister, Joseph Habineza and he confirmed this during a recent talk show on KFM. We have been informed that this development comes at a time when the local movie industry is growing so this is a golden opportunity.
