RENOWNED comedy group Kings of Comedy has asked Electronics Company Konka to apologize for using the company name on posters advertising last weekend’s Chameleon and Amani show yet Kings of Comedy were not part of the event. Konka were the sponsors of the show which flopped.
The show did not do as well as expected and according to Eric Mugisha, the boss of Kings of Comedy Company, he was shocked to see the company’s name on the posters.
"We did not organise or take part in the event that took place last weekend. Konka used our name to mislead the public. We have organised events before and they all went well because we always take time to manage our shows. The only reason why our show didn’t take place this year is because we are looking for a favourable place for comedy lovers,” Mugisha said.
Poor organisation and weak advertising strategies were largely blamed for the flop of the show.
