Foreign Affairs Minister Louise Mushikiwabo, arrived in Singapore yesterday to attend the Sub-Saharan High Level Exchange Visit, organised by the Singaporean Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam.
Foreign Affairs Minister Louise Mushikiwabo, arrived in Singapore yesterday to attend the Sub-Saharan High Level Exchange Visit, organised by the Singaporean Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam.
The two-day event brings together Singapore's political leaders and Ministers and Senior Officials from seven African countries namely Angola, Ghana, Mauritius, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.
The theme of the High Level Exchange Visit is: «Singapore and Africa: Partnering for Growth". Its objective is to "strengthen Singapore's economic relations with Sub-Saharan Africa.”
In addition to meetings with Singapore's Prime Minister and Singapore's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law, the event will be an opportunity to discuss potential partnerships in urban planning, education and water management.
Rwanda and Singapore formally established diplomatic relations in 2005. A fully-fledged High Commission of Rwanda in Singapore was opened in 2008.
