Alleged British drug smuggler arrested at Kigali International Airport

Police this morning presented to the media a Ugandan-born British passport holder, who they accuse of attempting to traffic narcotics through Kigali International Airport.
According to police, the 47 year old (names withheld for legal purposes) was smuggling a kilogramme of cocaine in her undergarments. The cocaine, according to a police statement, had a street value of Rwf 45 million.
She was arrested on Saturday while on transit from Bujumbura to Entebbe. Police has refused to divulge the name of the airline which she was traveling on.
The suspect refused to admit to the crime, only stating that "she wants a lawyer”.
