El Merreikh beat KCCA to qualify for Kagame Cup final

Sudanese champions El Merreikh defeated their Ugandan counterparts KCCA on post match spot kicks 3-0 to qualify for Cecafa Kagame Cup final after normal time ended 2-2. The match was played yesterday at Kigali Regional Stadium.

Sudanese champions El Merreikh defeated their Ugandan counterparts KCCA on post match spot kicks 3-0 to qualify for Cecafa Kagame Cup final after normal time ended 2-2. The match was played yesterday at Kigali Regional Stadium.

El Merreikh opened scoring through Mohamed Traore on the 33rd minute, while KCA equalized on the 50th minute through Tom Masiko.

The Sudanese went ahead on 76th minute through Abdalla Abdalate Ragi but the Ugandans pulled back on level terms six minutes later thanks to Brian Omony.

Both sides went for extra time to decide the winner but no team could find the winning goal. On the 108' Omony hit the woodwork.
