Reference is made to the article, "How much homework, TV must your child soak up?” (Education Times, August 20).

For sure, it does not make any sense giving a kindergarten child homework. This child needs a lot of time to play. The child is at the stage when discovery and practice are very important in their life.

They should also be given enough free time to discover different things on their own. However, it should be noted that at the level of primary one and above, homework is very important but should be varied depending on the level of the learners.
