After defending champions Vital’O crushed out of Cecafa Kagame Cup 2015, head coach Gilbert ‘Yaoundé’ Kanyankore promised that his side will come back stronger next year.

Vital’O won only one match – against Somalia’s Benadir – (5-1), drew with Sudanese champions El Meriekh and lost 3-1 to Rwanda’s Police FC in Group C.

"We have been very unlucky at this tournament. We scored five goals in our opening game against Banadir, lost 3-1 to a good Police side and we were unable to win in the other game against El Mereikh,” Kanyankore said.   Kanyankore blamed his side’s exit on fate and singled out El Merreikh of Sudan as a good side that deserved to qualify to the next round.

"I accept defeat but I promise we will be a much stronger team in next year’s tournament. I came here with a relatively young team but we will have more experience by this time next year,” added the former Rayon Sports and Kiyovu coach.
