RWANDA INTERNATIONAL Meddie Kagere has completed his move to Albanian first division side FK Tirana on a two-year deal. The 28-year old Uganda-born striker, who was a free agent following the expiry of his one-year deal with Rayon Sports in July, expressed happiness at finally being able to play in Europe.
Speaking to Times Sport before his departure, the former Mukura, Kiyovu and Police FC player said: "I feel very happy to be joining FK Tirana; it’s a dream move for me.”
"I will try to do my best to help my new team” Kagere added.
The Amavubi striker, who scored the equalising goal against Congo in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations-Morocco second round qualifier last month, left the country for Albania on Tuesday.
He will be joining several other African players at the club such as Francis Kahata (Kenya), Francis Olaki (Uganda) and former APR midfielder Selemani Ndikumana (Burundi).
