Police FC continued their fine form in the Cecafa Kagame Cup after beating Somalia’s Banadir 3-1 at Kigali Regional Stadium to ensure first position in Group C.

Andre Cassa Mbungo’s debutants scored two goals in the first half through Kipson Atuheire in the 4th minute with cool finish after the good cross from Jacques Tuyisenge and Mousa Habimana seven minutes later from a corner kick by skipper Jean D’Amour Uwimana.

In second half, Jacques Tuyisenge scored third goal on 73rd minute, after the Somaliland champions had pulled a goal back through Moustafa Zekor Garba two minutes earlier.

Police FC have become a surprise package in the tournament after winning their first three games, now have nine points, scoring five and conceding one goal in the process.

The first game of the day South Sudan side Atlabara and Adama City from Ethiopia ended 1-1.  Atlabara opened the scoringfrom Ajak Sebit in the 41st minute before Adama equalizer through Ayele Benyam with 12 minutes left.

Benadir have lost all their games and will be the first team on the plane back home. In Group C, defending champions Vital’O play against El Mereikh of Sudan on Friday.
