Dancehall music fans have reason to smile again as Family Squad has confirmed news of their impending comeback to the local music scene after earlier reports had suggested that group members had parted ways.
Soultan Rugira aka Nazil, one of the group members, said: "I would like to tell our fans that we have been on a break because we had some personal issues to take care of; however, we are planning a comeback very soon.”
He added that the group members didn’t part ways as suggested in some media reports. "Those are baseless rumours that are fuelled by our enemies but that will not bring us down.”
The group has been off the music scene for four years now making just a brief comeback in 2013 but disappeared again.
The success Family Squad enjoyed with their Tuve ku mihanda hit several years ago has virtually vanished, leaving the group almost forgotten.
Family Squad was one of the leading dancehall groups in the country in the mid-2000’s, with hits such as One Blood, Zuena, among others.
The group is made up of four members; Spaxx, Nazil, Simchezo and Mosad.
