Regular transmission by media outlets under Rwanda Broadcasting Agency will soon resume following the temporary interruption during the agency’s move to its new offices in Kacyiru, Kigali.
The agency moved their last equipment by yesterday though installation is still in progress which has affected quality of some of its transmission.
Innocent Nkurunziza, the technical director at the RBA, said the quality had been affected during the move.
"The shift might have caused slight interferences in the quality of transmission,” Nkurunziza said.
Arthur Asiimwe, the director general of RBA, said the signal interruption would be fixed by the end of the week.
"All departments and media outlets under RBA are now working under one roof, we are grateful for the support from the government and promise to improve on the quality of our service,” Asiimwe said.
The agency, which was established last year, following the dissolving of Rwanda Bureau of Information and Broadcasting (Orinfor), is targeting to become a successful business venture in the next few years, according to Asiimwe.
