Local artiste and Tusker Project Fame season six contestant Patrick Nyamitali has denied rumours that have been circulating on FM radio stations and entertainment websites about an impending collabo with Ugandan songbird Juliana Kanyomozi.
"Why should people misquote me, all I said was that my dream was to work with Juliana because she is among my favourite musicians in East Africa but I didn’t say that we are working on a collabo,” Nyamitali said.
Nyamitali added that Juliana, who recently lost her only child, was only his judge during the TPF Six contest (in 2013 in Kenya) and that the two still communicate but they have never talked about prospects for a collabo.
Juliana has previously collaborated with several big names in Uganda such as Bobi Wine and Peter Miles; Tanzania’s Bushoke; and Burundi’s Kidumu.
Nyamitali expects to make a pre-launch of his new album at the end of the year while the official launch will be next year. He is however yet to come up with the title of the new album.
Nyamitali is famed for his gospel hits like Ishimwe, Niwe Mesiya and Uri Imana.
