Dear readers

A while back on Facebook, some guys were asked about their views on women and their hair. A few of them, perhaps out of fear of their girlfriends/wives who they are friends with on the social networking site, played it safe and said that whatever women choose to do with their hair is their business.

But for the ones who owe no one an explanation, their answers came across as uncouth. It is fascinating that unless they see a bald head, anything beyond two inches of hair is suspicious to some men. Like one fellow put it so aptly, "ladies, don’t go out looking for real men when you have fake hair, fake nails, implants and bleached skin”.

In this era where you can actually see a baby in 3D while it is inside its mother’s womb, the hype about hair extensions is way past its expiration date. To put that absurd belief to rest, in our lead story this week, we look at the ever changing faces of women’s hair, starting way back when natural hair was pretty much the only choice.

It is safe to say that no one likes the thought of baggy eyes before they even clock 30! Even after practicing what seems like a healthy lifestyle, one lady’s puffy eyes just won’t go away. Our expert Dr. Rachna Pande explains the causes and what measures one can take to mitigate the problem.
