A national youth tennis championship is underway at Amahoro tennis club in Remera. The tournament started on Monday and will run through Saturday.

The one-week event attracted players from different clubs within Kigali; including, Kigali Sports Centre (CSK), Kanombe, Remera and Nyarutaram tennis club.

"The tournament gives us a chance to evaluate our youngsters and prepare them for future international tournaments,” Rwanda Tennis Federation technical director Fidele Kamanzi Bayama told Times Sport yesterday.

Teams are split into four categories namely; U-10, U-12, U-14 and U-16 –  for both girls and boys.
