Reference is made to Kenneth Agutamba’s article, "What will EAC leaders tell Obama?” (Sunday Times, August 3).

This is an exciting moment where Africans, especially East Africans, are realising the enormous potential embedded in partnership based on people-centred economic development.

Presidents Paul Kagame, Uhuru Kenyatta(Kemya) and Yoweri Museveni(Uganda) are in Washington with lessons to teach the world about "African Rebirth”.

I trust President Barack Obama is equally in good position to tell African leaders on what America is doing towards eliminating barriers to trade with Africa to create a win-win situation.
