RUHANGO-based Groupe scolaire Indangaburezi and Saint Aloys Rwamagana are the two teams to represent the country in girls’ volleyball at this year’s East African post-primary, FEASSA Games.
Saint Aloys Rwamagana and GS Indangaburezi booked tickets for the regional secondary schools meet after reaching the final of the national championships held in Save Sector, Huye District from July 30 to August 3. Indangaburezi won the final in three sets, 25-22, 25-18 and 25-21. Hosts TTC Save lost to Lycee de Nyanza in four sets, 3-1 to take third place.
This year, Rwanda’s delegation will be comprised of over 260 athletes in FEASSA Games scheduled for August 23-31 in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.
The country will be represented in nine sports disciplines namely; football, basketball, volleyball, rugby, netball, tennis, table tennis, swimming and athletics.
