The University Of Rwanda- College of education (UR-CE), RUKARA Campus, is a public higher learning Institution of Rwanda located on the site of the former RUKARA Primary Teacher Training College (ENP/ TTC), in GAHINI Sector, KAYONZA District in the eastern Province, at 5 Kilometers on the right side of Kayonza - Nyagatare highway. This makes 9 Km from KAYONZA Town.

Established under the name of RUKARA College of Education as decided by the Cabinet meeting of 14 September 2007, the campus’ mission is to train and produce qualified teachers needed for the effective implementation of the Nine Years Basic education, hence providing the Country with a well-trained human capital to contribute to the national sustainable development
