Riderman involved  in nasty accident

Rwandan rapper Emery Gatsinzi aka Riderman narrowly survived a fatal road accident Thursday morning at industrial area commonly known as Rwandex.

Riderman was speeding when he rammed into a coaster  carrying passengers. Our sources say at the time of the accident Riderman was driving under the influence of alcohol and looked tired. Our source who reached the scene shortly after the accident said the musician was clad in red shorts, a t-shirt and flat cap.

Riderman was in the company of a young woman who took off as soon as she realised police was on its way. As if driving under the influence was not bad enough, he also didn’t have a driving permit. Riderman tried to escape but was immediately intercepted by onlookers. He is currently being held at Kicukiro police post as he waits for his file to be forwarded to court.

Dug-out restaurant  to close shop
This will not come as good news to Dug-Out loyal customers as their popular eating/partying joint will be closing shop today. The place that is popularly known for attracting customers who enjoy Ugandan food is closing down due to an increase in rent by the owners. But unconfirmed reports have also intimated to this desk that the joint may only change hands.
Kanyombya’s London trip hangs in balance
After making it as a comedian and a talented actor, local movie star Kayitankole Ndjoli aka Kanyombya is yet to know if he will be able to travel to the Queen’s land as planned. Our sources reveal that Kanyombya’s documents were delayed because he didn’t have a letter of invitation yet he claimed he was going to perform for Rwandans living abroad. Armed with an interpreter, he tried to convince officials at the British Embassy but they wouldn’t relent. Our sources have established that he might go through Uganda if things don’t work out from here.
Ex-Miss Uganda implicated in ‘theft’ scandal
Former Miss Uganda Praise Asiimwe has gone into hiding after she was sacked from her job in Rwanda over embezzling funds meant for Genocide orphans. The 2005-2007 beauty queen was working as the Public Relations Officer at King Faisal Hospital in Kigali.
Sources at the hospital revealed that the funds had been contributed by the hospital staff to help the needy orphans living in different areas of Kigali.
