Fashion enthusiasts that were preparing for the upcoming cultural fashion show will have to wait a little longer as the event has been pushed to September 27.
According to Celestin Ntawirema one of the event organisers, the show was postponed because the venue, Petit Stade couldn’t be available on the proposed date.
"We received communication from the Ministry of Sports and Culture requesting us to change the date for our event since that is where the Basketball national league play offs will be held,” Ntawirema explained
The cultural fashion show was slated for August 31 and is the second of its kind that aims at providing a forum for local fashion designers to showcase their latest designs.
The fashion show will feature unique designs from a variety of cultures by local and international fashion designers, according to Ntawirema.
Ten fashion designers as well as 20 models are expected to feature in the event organised by Iris Pro-films 1000 Hills Ltd.
Ntawirema adds that the audience and a designated panel of judges will select the best model and best designer.
The one day event will also feature art exhibitions, live painting as well as an exhibition of fashion designs. Gates will be open at 9:00am.
