Rwandan music stars are gearing up for the ‘Bye Bye Vacances’ music extravaganza scheduled to take place on August 8 at Car Wash gardens.
According to the event organisers, this year’s event will be bigger and better.
"The aim of organising this concert twice a year is to link up students in holidays with their favourite local musicians through performance before they go back to school. We have comedians lined up for the event and the country’s best emcees will be there too,” said Gaston Rurangwa aka Skizzy one of the organisers.
The show will be spiced up by PGGSS IV top three finalists Jay Polly, Dream boys and Bruce Melody. Other artistes who will perform include King James, Jules Sentore, Jody Phoebe, Staff Sergeant Robert, Active and Odda Pacy.
Platinum group of Deejays will be on the decks while comedians Arthur and Babou are among the performers. Seasoned emcees Anita Pendo, Mc Tino, Kate Gustave and Phil Peter will be on hand to add to the fun.
This year’s first edition of ‘Bye Bye Vacance” took place in January at Mamba Resto. Entrance fee is Rwf 2,000 for a single person and Rwf 3,000 for a couple.
