Real Madrid should let Robinho go

Dear editor,

Though I am a Chelsea fan, I do not want my opinion to be seen as biased, because it is not. Robinho is a football player who has already decided that he wants to move to Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid officials had earlier shown little interest in the player, until they had their dream of signing Ronaldo of Manchester United end.

In fact, they went as far as considering him for a possible linkage with Ronaldo’s signing. Why then, don’t they let the young boy leave?

When Blatter called this kind of treatment slavery, some people raised their voices against his intelligent observation, but I think I side with him entirely.

Slavery may have different definitions, but I only see it as lack of choice. Whatever you do against your choice has some degree of slavery.

Freedom of choice should not have conditions. However, I blame the players who take long time contracts well knowing that at some point, they may need to change teams. Always go for short ones unless you are not sure of yourselves.
