HUYE-BASED Mukura VS will start pre-season training on July 27 ahead of the new season which begins in September.

"We have several new faces on the team, and we will start training at the end of this month ahead of the new season,” head coach Jean Baptiste Kayiranga told Times Sport.

Mukura endured a disappointing campaign last season, finishing in eighth position with 29 points and sacked their Burundian coach Cédric Kaze towards the end of the season.

The Yellow and Black outfit, one of the oldest football teams in Rwanda, have signed several new players including Hussein Habimana, Célestin Ndayishimiye, Mhadjili Hakizimana, all from SC Kiyovu.

Others are; Yves Kwizera from Rayon Sports, Bertin Dusenge (Marines FC), Jean Claude Nshimiyimana (Musanze), goalkeeper Alphonse Nzeyimana, Jean Claude Gakuru and Jean Claude Zagabe from Esperance.
