PREPARATIONS for the 2014 Cultural Fashion Show are in high gear as the countdown to the D-day begins.
The event slated for August 31 is the second of its kind aimed at providing a forum for local fashion designers to showcase their latest designs.
The fashion show will feature unique designs from a variety of cultures by local and international fashion designers, according to Celestin Ntawirema, one of the organisers.
Five to ten designers as well as 20 models are expected to feature in the event organised by Iris Pro-films 1000 Hills Ltd.
Ntawirema adds that the audience and a designated team will name the best model and best designer with the winners walking away with various prizes.
The one day event will also feature art exhibitions, live painting as well as an expo of designers which will be held at Petit Stade in Remera.
Gates will be open from 9:00am to 10:30pm.
