Editor,
Refer to Dr Jean-Paul Kimonyo’s article, "RPF: Remembering the lost anti-colonial struggle” (The New Times, July 21).
What a thrilling moment! Dr Kimonyo brings us to terms with our history. In every generation, there is always a Rwandan hero.
I am requesting our living heroes to help us bring to justice those exploiters who killed King Mutara III Rudahigwa after having humiliated his father in Mona. I am ready to subscribe to this noble mission.
Mau Mau victims (former fighters who claimed compensation against the UK on behalf of hundreds of thousands of Kenyans for ill-treatment they said they suffered during the rebellion) argued their case without reasonable support and emerged victors.
What about us whose history was soiled and shaped by the departure of great sons of Rwanda at a time we needed great leaders like King Yuhi V Musinga and his son King Mutara III Rudahigwa?
