Eric Dusabemungu blasted six sixes in his 47-run innings as Rwanda’s schools’ select side defeated Ndejje to register their third win in Uganda’s prestigious schools’ cricket tournament.

Chasing 121, the select side reached the target with two wickets in hand. The hard-hitting all-rounder was the difference between the two sides after establishing a 60-run partnership with team captain Andre Kayitera.

Right Guards’ Desire Manirambona was also in fine form for the select side as he picked four wickets to take his wicket tally to seven in five games.

Today, the select side takes on Masaka SS in the first classification game after being ruled out of the quarter finals by default.

Tournament organizers, Uganda Cricket Association deliberately omitted Rwanda’s select side from the quarter-finals to ruin any chances of the trophy crossing the border.
