EWSA’s (Energy, Water and Sanitation Authority) continued incompetent service is due to its failure to comply with the Auditor General's report and advice.

This was said today by Juvenal Nkusi, the chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Chamber of Deputies during Committee's presentation of its report on EWSA to the plenary session.

"The cases we had in the Auditor General’s report of 2011/2012 financial year, regarding EWSA’s service delivery, still exist up to today. These are cases of insufficient power stations and poor water supply”, Nkusi said.

"EWSA did not implement the suggestions highlighted by the Auditor General, leading to incompetent service delivery”, accused Nkusi.

The Committee’s report follows a series of field visits made by the PAC to various power and water stations across the country in relation to 2011-2012 Auditor General report that condemned EWSA for failure to delivery good service.
