THE NEWLY appointed Police FC head coach Andre Cassa Mbungo has said his focus will be on winning honours with the law enforcers. 

"It will take time but I will achieve my mission.

I am very optimistic because this is a long term plan. I believe players have the potential to do better on the field and perform at high level,” Mbungo told Times Sport.

He added that he is now focused on building a solid squad not for the upcoming Cecafa Kagame Cup but for the future.

"We will meet different obstacles along the way but with patience and trust, we will have a strong side to challenge for any title,” added Mbungo. 

Mbungo’s maiden task is next month’s Cecafa Kagame Cup where Police is placed in Group C alongside defending champions Vital’O of Burundi, Sudan’s El Merreikh and Benadir of Somalia.
