THE 2013 Peace Cup champions AS Kigali are reported to be in search for a new head coach to replace Andre Cassa Mbungo who joined Police FC on a three-year contract.

According to AS Kigali club official Albert Mwanafunzi, the team which is now under Jean de Dieu Mateso is looking for a possible head coach.

Reports say the former Mukura VS tactician, Burundian Cedric Kaze is in talks with AS Kigali but Mwanafunzi refuted the reports saying, "We are looking for a head coach but we have not talked to anyone,”

"We are planning to have a new coach as soon as possible.”

However, Kaze has been in the country since Monday. Jean Marie Ntagwabira is also among the coaches who are being linked to the club.

The new coach will have a big task of filling the boots of Cassa Mbungo who helped the Kigali City sponsored club win the 2013 Peace Cup and guided the club to 1/8th round of the Africa Confederation Cup on their debut.
