UPDATE: Firefighters have arrived on the scene of the blaze currently destroying parts of Ituze Lodge and other adjacent shops in Nyabugogo. While property has been saved and no injuries reported, the cause of the fire remains a mystery.
Dark smoke and flames can be seen rising out of the building, which is next to Nyabugogo Taxi Park. Business has come to a standstill and police is struggling to control the crowds and curious onlookers.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out at 11am. Unlike earlier outbreaks, the police response was swift.
Today's fire comes on the heels of another which took place in a Gikondo mill yesterday.
