AMAVUBI AND APR attacking midfielder Jean Claude Iranzi is closely being monitored by Tanzania’s league giants Simba SC for a possible transfer deal. 

Iranzi, whose contract at 14-time league champions APR expires this month, has been at the military side since 2008. 

Simba have expressed their interest in securing the services of the midfielder but Iranzi has denied links to the Tanzanian side. 

"I am busy concentrating on Amavubi’s upcoming Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Congo Brazzaville and I have not had time to engage into my club future,” he told Times Sport.

"I have also heard about the speculations but I have not talked to any Simba SC official. I have a manager who is handling those affairs and if the right time comes, we will sit and discuss the way forward. 

"If there is a chance of joining Simba then I will take it because it’s a big club and I would get a chance to keep growing in my career,” Iranzi told Times Sport yesterday.  

According to Simba SC, they are offering US$15,000 while Iranzi’s manager is demanding US$20,000 for the gifted midfielder. 

This is not the first time Iranzi has been linked to a Tanzanian club. In 2011, he was the target for Simba’s arch rivals Young Africans but the transfer collapsed because he still had a contract with APR.
