FORMER AMAGAJU FC coach Godfroid Okoko has signed a one-year contract with archrivals Musanze.
Musanze Football Club chairman, Benon Rwabugande told Times Sport recently that the club signed Okoko to help Musanze finish in pleasing positions in next year’s season.
"He is a good and able coach. His experience and expertise is needed at our club,” Rwabugande added.
Okoko parted ways with Nyamagabe district-based Amagaju FC after helping them escape the relegation zone last season. Amagaju finished 11th with 23 points from 26 matches having won six, drawn five and lost fifteen matches.
At Musanze, Okoko has replaced Tanzanian Baraka Hussein who was sacked from the club alongside his assistant Maurice Nshimiyimana Alias Maso and team captain Omar Hitimana over poor misconduct in May.
The Burundian-born coach has been tasked to help Musanze break into the top six of next season’s league after finishing seventh in the last two seasons.
