Reference is made to the article, "No individual is above a nation and its people – Kagame” (The New Times, July 7). These are very strong words, extremely strong. If words could be injected into human blood, the world would be a better place. Great thinkers get hurt that what they want to see in the world is not always what they see.

Nelson Mandela passed on when the African National Congress was being investigated over corruption. You defeat apartheid and racial segregation but greed for money crops up. Your Excellency, your legacy speaks volumes. Stay strong because you have followers.

Genetics and DNA sequencing show that no individual can have similar characteristics as another. Not even identical twins. 

It is interesting to follow what President Paul Kagame says – his consistency and problem-solving acumen – such an exceptional leader who exudes confidence.

Perhaps this explains why most Rwandans continue to find it hard to get President Kagame’s replacement come 2017. His DNA simply matches the challenges of Rwanda: incorruptible, loving, gender-sensitive, hates ethnic divisions, development-oriented, organised, and respected. Once in a while, we need to speak the truth and encourage our President.
