Espoir also defeated CSK 56-47 in the first-leg encounter held on March 7 at Amahoro Stadium.
Over the weekend CSK’s duo of brothers Patrick and Mike Buzangu led the game’s scoring sheet with 19 and 17 points each but they could not stop Espoir’s prowess led by Lionnel Hakizimana, Olivier Shyaka and Bienvenue who scored 14 points apiece for Espoir before Artside Mugabe and Elie Kaje added a further 11 points each.
The games were played at College of Science and Technology (former KIST grounds).
Espoir leads the standings with 38 points from 19 matches while CSK are placed second with 32 points in 18 games. APR is third with 32 points in 19 matches while UGB and IPRC are fourth and fifth respectively with 29 points each. Espoir will now face Rusizi this weekend to complete a three-season unbeaten league run.
