With all my heart, I thank the national army; they did not only liberate the country from the Genocidal regime of Habyarimana but, they also led us to economic and social liberation. And now Rwanda is a nation that every citizen is proud of.

We have total peace and security.

Rwanda is surely prospering and developing, and it looks unstoppable. Look at that dome-like complex (new Kigali convention centre), and a couple of other buildings that I never saw two years ago during my first visit to Rwanda.
The city looks bigger and better, and in 20 years from now, the sky might not be strong enough to limit Rwanda’s development.

Twenty years of Liberation means a lot to me.
Twenty years ago the nation was in a total mess. We had over 3 million people outside the country, 2 million internally displaced, and hundreds of thousands of orphans. We had to rebuild the nation from scratch. A person who saw Rwanda of 1994, and the Rwanda of 2014, will surely say that in the next 20 years we will be an African superpower.

I admire President Kagame and his colleagues, for their cause for the liberation struggle. All they wanted was a united, reconciled and prosperous Rwanda. No doubt, they achieved their dream, and the future is way too bright for Rwanda.
