Editor,

An unwavering commitment to the values of life, human dignity and solidarity, those are principles that Rwandan Defence Forces (RDF) — then Rwanda Patriotic Army — upheld during the Genocide against the Tutsi.

Principles built through the worst, that the RDF are now determined to use for the best: saving lives, standing in protection of those that most need it, and exporting these beliefs to brotherly countries in Africa and beyond.

I express my well-deserving of tributes paid throughout the weeks leading up to the 20th anniversary of the Liberation.
