POLICE HANDBALL CLUB has extended their lead at the summit of the national handball league after defeating UR-CE 42-20 over the weekend at Kimisagara Sports centre. 

Gilbert Mutiyimana and Gilbert Nzibonera were on target scoring 10 and 9 points to help Police go five points on top of the standings.

"Our previous win over Gicumbi motivated my players to search for more victories in the remaining matches. We are very determined and eager to win all our matches,” head coach Antoine Ntanganyimana said.

Police lead the standings with 27 points, five ahead of second-placed ES Kigoma while reigning champions Gicumbi are placed third.
