Seething from their narrow loss to Lion de Fers a week ago, the Nyamirambo Gorillas Sunday meted out their anger on hapless Kamonyi District Pumas with a 76-5 thumping.

The same day, BCR dressed sharks traveled south to face uniform-less National University of Rwanda’s Grizzlies. The Grizzlies pumped up by the home crowd, drew first blood through a Henry Bizimungu try which he converted to make it 7-0.

It then became a tag of war as either side struggled for dominance. Shark’s Bertin Toto balanced the see-saw with a beautiful try between the posts. It was duly converted to make it 7-7.

The second half was a similar affair until Grizzlies’ coach-player Joseph Bugabo got on the pitch to boost his forwards.

The move paid off when he pulled some tricks from his sleeve creating space and an eventual Koko Cambara try to end the game 12-7.
