Police in Ngoma District have arrested an 18 year-old man suspected of defiling a five-year-old girl.

The incident that allegedly took place in Sake Sector on Tuesday came to light after the victim complained of pain in her abdomen.

Acting on the complaint lodged by the minor’s parents, Police detained the suspect at Sake Police Station pending further investigations.

The victim has been admitted to Kibingo Hospital, where she is undergoing treatment and thorough medical examination.
