RWANDAN Rn’B artiste King James is set to perform at the Umwali Canada 2014 beauty pageant next month.

Umwali Canada is an annual beauty pageant for Rwandans living in Canada. Its aim is to promote young Rwandan girls under Umwali Canada Association. Umwali Canada represents the young Rwandan girl, her beauty, elegance and the cultural wealth of the country.

The contest goes beyond physical appearance and will look for the moral, intellectual and innovative capacity of the candidates. About 8 Rwandan girls are expected to contest for the crown of Umwali Canada 2014 beauty pageant.

According to King James he will perform at the event before staging several concerts in other cities. He also plans to launch a two in one album when he returns home.

The Kigali-based singer has promised fans a chance to sample his latest music live; "I am delighted by this opportunity to reach out to my fans in Canada. I will give a performance they will remember in a long time.”

King James rose to fame in 2009 with the hit track Intinyi and went on to win the Bralirwa-sponsored Primus Guma Super Star competition.
