How would you describe your dress sense?
I am a very feminine woman and I try to look as elegant as possible. I tend to dress up like a lady. I usually wear dresses or skirts but even when I wear jeans I try to look as elegant as possible. I dress better when I have more time to prepare myself. If I have to go work early in the morning I just grab what I have nearby and run.
What’s your favourite clothing item?
Fit and flare dresses. At the top, the dress has to fit but below it has to be like a ballerina’s skirt. The fabric and colour has to be right. But I would choose a dress over any other outfit.
Where do you shop for clothes?
Everywhere, especially when I travel! As long as I like what I see I take it home. And it depends on the occasion; if it’s an important event and I have to dress well, then probably I will order it online or from the States.
What do you consider when shopping clothes?
I look at classic things, because if I am shopping that means I have saved to spend on something good and I am not good at buying one thing at a time. I prefer buying three or more things at the same time. Colour, fabric, and the design are some of the things I consider before taking an outfit home.
Your favourite fashion accessory?
Pearls and I like a good pair of studded diamond earrings regardless of how small the karats may be. I believe in having one or two good pieces of jewelry than to have many fake items. I must confess I have a hard time wearing African jewelry.
What is your favourite clothing item on a guy?
A man in a sharp black classy suit! I mean he has to have the right accessories, a great watch and nice pair of good quality shoes and then a manly perfume. I mean I know you said an item but for me it’s all or none.
What’s your favourite scent?
I have a few favourites. Channel Coco Mademoiselle perfume, I love Queen Latifah’s Perfume called Queen; there is a vanilla scent and of course Jimmy Choo perfume.
Any fashion advice?
It is very important for everyone to find what looks good on them. Women have to invest in a few good pairs of shoes, classy dresses that suit their figure, and decent accessories. Everyone must have that one outfit that says wow you look so good in that outfit! When buying an outfit, if you are spoilt for choice, ask a friend for help or a sales lady. They are more likely to know what suites you, and if you don’t believe her ask another customer what they think.
