The Genocide Memorial tournament winners lead the table with 34 points, ten ahead of rivals APR, who have two games in hand against Lycee de Nyanza and IPRC Kigali.
In other matches, St Alloys beat UR-CASS to stay in fourth position; Ruhango Volleyball Club beat St Joseph 3-1 and Ngororero 3-0 to stay in third position, while Ngororero lost to St Joseph 3-0. Meanwhile, in men’s category, the finals playoffs between APR and Rayon Sports will be played this coming weekend, according to Rwanda Volleyball Federation Secretary General Christian Hatumimana.
APR reached the final after beating INATEK in two games, while Nyanza-based Rayon overcame Kigali Volleyball Club.
In the regular league, APR thrashed Rayon Sports 3-0, while last weekend, Rayon Sport beat APR 3-0 in final of Genocide Memorial Tournament.
