Editor,

Guillaume Ancel (a former French military officer, who served under the infamous Operation Turquoise at the height of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda) has a guilty conscious which he could not live with for ever — it's human.

Rwanda and Rwandans have been saying exactly what this courageous man has published but the world did not want to listen or they intentionally preferred to turn a deaf ear.

Now that it is being said by the French themselves, let historians rewrite their stories accordingly. France needs to apologise to Rwandans, and move to deal with the many Genocide fugitives on its territory. Indeed, like the French say, les faits sont têtus, or facts are stubborn.
