RAYON SPORTS Football Club received the first installment of their sponsorship from Skol Brewery Ltd, on Tuesday at Skol headquarters in Nzove, Kanyinta Sector.

Two months ago, the two parties entered into three-year deal worth 182,000 euros (about Rwf170m) which the Nyanza-based outfit would receive in three installments. 

Tuesday’s first batch was worth euros 50,000 (about Rwf47m), the second portion will be euros 60,000 (Rwf56m) in the second year and euros 72,000 (Rwf67m) in the third year.

Under the deal, the 2013 league champions will also receive equipment such as jerseys as well as balls and boots among others for both training and competitive matches.

Rayon Sports president Theogene Ntampaka said, "This is one of the best deals this club has ever signed.”

"As a top team in the country, we need to be strong financially and we will continue to look for other partners,” he told Times Sport.

Skol Brewery Ltd Marketing Director, Mark Mugarura said, "It is our desire to connect Skol to Rayon Sports fans; it is also our ambition to contribute to the growth of Rayon Sports into a formidable soccer team not just in Rwanda but also in Africa.”
