Rwanda National Police yesterday donated two cows to two vulnerable families in Musanze District as part of government’s efforts to eradicate poverty.

The heifers were handed to the beneficiaries yesterday during activities to mark RNP’s 14th anniversary and 20th liberation celebrations held in Muhoza Sector in Musanze.

The beneficiaries are Anonciatte Mukamugema, a Genocide survivor and Eric Rusigariye.

Other RNP donations include a motorcycle given to a local musician, Juvenal Ndagijimana for composing community policing songs, 500 insurance cards given to 100 families and Rwf400, 000 awarded to a cultural troop – Uruhongore and Judith Mukamusoni, who composed a song and poem respectively that promote the force’s proactive policing programmes.
